the basic principle is to ionize each component in the sample in the ion source, generate charged ions with different charge-mass ratio, accelerate the electric field, form ion beam, enter the mass analyzer. In the mass analyzer, the electric and magnetic fields are used to make the opposite velocity dispersions occur, and the mass spectra are obtained by focusing them separately, thus the mass is determined.
