Small volume high stability low ripple variable voltage programming

The photomultiplier tube (PMT) is a "light amplifier" that uses high voltage to achieve extremely high gain. When it works, weak light hits the cathode to produce electrons, which are accelerated by the high voltage electric field and bombard the multi-level dynodes, triggering more electrons like ananche. Ultimately, the initial light signal is amplified by a million times, turning into a strong electrical signal that is easy to measure. Therefore, it can detect individual photons and becomes core component for detecting weak light signals in equipment such as CT scanners, radiation detectors, and high-energy physics experiments.
